These words, spoken by the late activist and philanthropist Nelson Mandela, capture the mission and purpose of The Malcolm Bernard Historically Black Colleges and Universities College Fair, Inc. (MBHBCU). For the past 20 years, MBHBCU has played an integral role in educating students about the historical significance and academic strength of HBCUs. What started as a single day fair for one school, has evolved into a multi-day event which takes place at six sites in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. MBHBCU is now the largest HBCU college fair on the east coast, attracting more than 12,000 students yearly from the tri-state area and beyond.
